Often the Contractor is contacted by the Owner to initiate the project by asking for a construction estimate. Usually at this time the scope is not clearly defined and may be outside the normal work scope of the Contractor. In these cases it is imperative that the design/construction team is coordinated from the start by bringing in the engineer as soon as possible.
